Man remanded for cheating public in name of NAB

The accountability courts administrative judge on Wednesday remanded a suspect in the custody of the National Accountability Bureau for allegedly cheating the public of Rs18 million by impersonation.
The judge sent Amir Hussain in NAB custody for two more weeks and sought a progress report from the investigation officer at the next hearing. The man was arrested for allegedly defrauding citizens by impersonating to be a son of a fake director-general of NAB. The bureau said the suspect defamed the institution while cheating the public.
The IO produced the suspect on the expiry of his physical remand and sought his custody for two more weeks, contending the investigation had yet to be completed and the father of the suspect, Khalid, who allegedly impersonated himself as a NAB DG, was still on the run. Global EMR purchasing remained robust during pandemic, with Epic in the lead
Epic led EMR purchasing globally in 2020, a year that saw strong activity in the arena despite the pandemic. But certain regions did experience a downswing, including Latin America, where Brazil saw a 50% drop in EMR purchasing.

The Covid-19 pandemic did not significantly dampen the global EMR purchasing arena, with activity remaining strong in 2020, a new report from KLAS Research shows. Epic took the lead among EMR vendors, executing 66 contracts, followed closely by Dedalus, with 59 contracts.
The report is based on hospital EMR purchasing activity worldwide that is, executed contracts that occurred between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2020. The report does not include data on EMR purchasing in the U.S.

Alvi stresses active role of public private sectors in economy documentation
